Is the google earth set live or recorded, if recorded i want the date?

They are recorded still images. The date varies from area to area.|||It's a combination of satellite photos taken over many years. There is no telling the recorded date.|||Recorded over different time frames. Some are old 1960's vintage and I have seen some as recent as the summer of 2006.

They are not all satellite images.|||STILL|||It's a combination of satellite photos taken over many years. There is no telling the recorded date.|||The various overhead photographs are recorded but I suspect they must have been done on many different dates and that Google Earth must re-do them on a regular basis.

The view of earth is something the photo intelligence community would call a "mosaic," meaning the entire picture is made up of many smaller parts.

I do know of at least one view that had to have been photographed in November, 2006. I can't speak for others.|||No its not live. The images you see are anywhere from 3 years old to over 8 years old. They are images taken from ariel photos and satellites. The government doesnt release this data for at least three years to the public.|||It is fixed and many of the photo's are taken by airplanes and not satellites|||My house is three years old and when I look at the area on Google Earth it is not developed yet.
