Is google earth plus is live?

No, its arial photos from as far back as 8 years.|||no.|||No. None of the Google Earth programs are live. The U.S. Government would not allow live due to National Security.

Plus, it would cost quite a bit to continuously update the maps.

What the Plus does is give you feature that the basic Free version doesn't provide, and you can get closer to the ground with better clarity.|||No! If you have lived in your house a few years and have just recently put something in your backward, say a trampoline or a pool, you most likely will NOT see it on Google Earth.|||Maybe. Try this. Go outside your house and start a small fire in the yard. Then, go inside to your computer and zoom in on your house on Google. If you see the fire, it's live. If you don't, then you're stupid!!!|||No. The pictures vary in age. The empty lot shown in my neighborhood has had townhouses on it for the last 5 years.|||no,this is a service that is provided via nasa that is updated once every 3 years
